From the Swiss family farm to the Geneva factory, Piaget watchmaking has evolved to the summit of excellence.

Georges-Édouard Piaget set up his first workshop in Les Côtes-aux-Fées, in the Swiss Jura, in 1874. There he manufactured high-precision watch movements, which very quickly enhanced his reputation. His son, Timothée Piaget, took over the business in 1911 and was also involved in the design and manufacture of movements, only registering the brand in 1943 to release the first Piaget watches.

Growth and fame were then ensured by Georges-Édouard Piaget's grandsons, Gérald and Valentin. They would base their work on three fundamental pillars: creativity, attention to detail and a spirit of luxury. In the new factory, built in 1945, Piaget specialises in extra-flat movements and the infinitely small.
